We Are Chard, and continue to Remember

A local filmmaker and Covid19 volunteer have released a film providing a snapshot of life in Chard, Somerset over the lockdown from March to July 2020. It premiered to the local community on Wednesday 7th October via YouTube.

Filmmaker Jonathan Warner and volunteer Angela Sunnick collaborated on the project to demonstrate how the pandemic was affecting people in the town. They wanted to capture the activity during this unique moment in time.

Jonathan said that lockdown created feelings of uncertainty and it was a worrying time. But there was still lots going on: gardening, exercise, helping the vulnerable by available means – we wanted to capture Chard’s determined energy and optimism.

If you missed the preview you can watch it here.

Remember if you have personal memories to share get involved with the Museum's project called Chard Remembers.
