Share our Memory Service Celebrating those who served in the 'Forgotten Army'

LIGHT a CANDLE to remember and celebrate the official end of World War 2. At 15:00 on Saturday 16th August Churches Together will lead a memorial event to the 'Forgotten Army'. Deputy Mayor Tricia O'Brien will read a poem by local artist Chris Sanders.

An estimated 30000 British troops lost their lives in the Far East Theatre of War. We know that 7 men from Chard are buried in distant lands.
