Chard Museum is proud to be a member of the Culturally Chard Consortium. The Consortium were recently awarded £80k by Historic England to deliver a 4-year programme of cultural events to engage with the local community. A launch of the programme will take place on July 10th. The Museum's commitment to the launch includes two historic tours of Chard based on the revamped Lace Riot Walk. This will be followed by a presentation by Andrew Powell-Thomas, based on his book on the Taunton Stop Line. The June newsletter will contain more details.
