SUPPORTing us to achieve
50 years and beyond
The museum has successfully applied for a feasibility grant of £8000 through the Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF). This allows us to employ an experienced project manager and to then contract experienced professionals to undertake the necessary surveys of the site and its buildings. These will assess the state of the buildings, the thatch, disability access etc. and support us in negotiating with South Somerset District Council (SSDC).

This work will gather the necessary information to understand the financial and practical risks, and obligations in undertaking either of the options proposed by SSDC.
A grant from the Small Grant Big Improvement is used to fund part of 50 Years and Beyond that is changing the present musuem society into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). Achieving this will protect the collection for the future and the Museum in any negotiations with South Somerset District Council regarding the building lease..
